OUR DIVING SPOTS

Discover the wonderful depths of Salento in complete safety with our guided dives!

The coast of Santa Cesarea Terme lends itself very well to scuba diving activities, since it is in fact a rocky coast overlooking the sea, we have at our disposal a wide choice of diving along colorful walls, cuts along the seabed, canyons, archaeological finds and caves .

Boarding takes place in the splendid scenery of the small port of Porto Miggiano, where you will find our dinghy and your equipment waiting for you.

Our scuba diving takes place along the coast both north and south of Santa Cesarea Terme and the navigation times to reach the spots are limited and this allows us to make double dives every morning.

We will accompany you in total safety in small groups (maximum 7 divers) in order to offer you the best possible diving experience both in terms of comfort on our boat and underwater.

Once resurfaced you will be offered a snack with typical local products, fresh drinks and water.

Here are some of our dive sites:

Porto Miggiano

Shore dive with easy access to the sea thanks to a comfortable ladder. It starts from a plateau at about -12 meters up to a small drop that leads to around -18m and then degrades down to -24m. An easy dive, therefore suitable for open level divers, full of ideas for underwater photographers due to the numerous presence of nudibranchs and colored sponges.

The Anchor Cemetery

Classic square dive at -26 metres, with two very large Roman-era anchors lying on the seabed. High presence of Axinelle sponges and nudibranchs. Depending on the weather and sea conditions, there may be a moderate to strong current and the consequent presence of passing predators.

Ciolaro

The name of this spot comes from the small emerged cave on the coast. It is a beginner level dive, anchor near a shoal with a depth of 8-10 metres, continue going out to sea where you come across a small drop that leads to a maximum of -21 metres. The return route flanks two other shallows until arriving at the anchor point for the ascent. The walls are full of sponges and dens inhabited by small groupers and moray eels.

Cave of Waxes

After about 15 minutes of navigation we reach this splendid inlet where we find the majestic entrance to the cave. It is a very large and deep cave (which can be visited for about 200m). The presence of whitish encrusting sponges along all the walls gave it its name. The surface is always accessible along the entire penetrable route and it is also possible to re-emerge in a suggestive air bubble.
